alternative title: Reflection of the Past

Pretty much inspired by ~Seitou's [link] _{hope I got the category right ...}

There is a story behind this piece - probably because I miss working on System Overload so much ... Though this story is sad ... and I must be a cruel one for thinking it up.

This was what I was working at in between my study sessions to relax a bit, and since I had yesterday free (alleluia!) I decided to finish it - the result was a massive headache and a very late good night (or should I say morning?)

May not make a lot of sense because it's only a third-hand translation of an extraction of a pretty long chapter. It's mostly about Sam's mental struggles after a very hard downfall and how she's trying to find the strength to get up again. Sam's philosophy in life is that life is nothing more then a dream, a dream that if we manage to turn it into reality we might actually start to live. Still, she considers her life to be more of a nightmare because of her past and that stops her from actually living. But some memories of hers turn the nightmares into what normal people would call a pleasant dream, but as those memories are few in number, the dream is fragile and thus that small amount of hope she actually has can vanish in an instant, with the "right" words.

Ok, this thing is already getting very long so I'll stop here. If anyone asks, the lyrics up above are from a Romanian carol called "Ridica-voi ochii" ("Raise my eyes I shall"/"I shall raise my eyes" - yes, you got it, I did the translation ) sang by Paula Seling - hear the Romanian version here: [link] (sorry, no English version available yet)
